grow through what you go through

just a place to talk about life, books, relationships, grieving and healing

oh hey, fancy meeting you here

ok so let me just preface this post with the fact that I am VERY new to this whole blogging/talking about life thing. but if you’re reading this, whether you’re genuinely interested or I forced you to for moral support, I should maybe introduce myself?

my name is allison, I’m a registered nurse from Buffalo, NY. (go bills) (I love you josh allen) I am an avid reader, plant and dog lover, softball enthusiast and chronic over thinker.

they say everything you do in life should have a purpose, your “why” so to speak. so why did I start blogging on a random sunday night in June? great question. I’m still kind of working through that answer, but the last couple of years have been kind of a wild ride. there’s been some awful lows, but thankfully some incredible highs to balance it all out. (more on those later if we survive in the blogging world long enough to get there) with that being said, Ive been doing a lot of self-discovery now that things have finally settled down and i’ve come to find out that I’m not the only person in the world who’s been through some shit (weird, right?) so I thought MAYBE talking about some of that would be therapeutic for me, and if it helps anyone else out in the process then that’s pretty sweet too!

if you’ve made it this far, i’d consider that a success. and for that, you’ll get to be clued in on what you can expect from this blog, assuming you plan on coming back for more. think, a regular persons version of kelsea ballerinis EP, mixed with RED (taylors version, obviously), a hint of dark humor, sarcasm, and some book reviews mixed in. a little bit of everything I guess. from relationships, engagements, breakups, trauma, and grief to moving on, moving out, healing old wounds, and all the other in betweens that life so very kindly throws at you.

see you guys soon 🙂
